Founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Darren Bolger, The Home Club® was created with a clear vision: to build a trusted private-members platform connecting homeowners, professionals, entrepreneurs and industry experts through a carefully curated digital community.
The Inception - Latin Motto "Tandem Connexa" attached to the Logo meaning "Ultimately Connected".
Established through The Home Club Ltd, with Darren as founder and sole shareholder, the business was developed from the outset as a serious commercial venture supported by formal governance, board oversight, strategic planning and long-term growth objectives. What began as an ambitious concept quickly evolved into a business supported by experienced advisors, technology specialists, investors, marketing professionals and industry leaders.
Recognising the value and uniqueness of the brand, THE HOME CLUB was protected through UK trade mark registration, forming an important part of the company's intellectual property portfolio and reflecting its commitment to building and safeguarding a distinctive business identity.
During 2015 and 2016, substantial investment was made in developing the brand, website, technology platform and member proposition. The Home Club platform was launched, professional branding and logo development were commissioned, and specialist agencies were engaged to create the foundations of a scalable digital ecosystem. Extensive planning, development agreements and platform-build contracts were established to support the creation of a next-generation membership platform.
A significant technology partnership was secured to design and develop The Home Club's digital infrastructure, creating the foundations for a sophisticated online environment capable of supporting large-scale member engagement, trusted networking, business collaboration and future international expansion.
As part of its growth strategy, The Home Club also entered into agreements with leading marketing and data partners, including access to one of the world's largest business intelligence databases containing information relating to more than 200 million executives, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals, creating substantial opportunities for customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, membership growth and commercial engagement.
The Home Club's vision attracted significant commercial interest. In 2017, the company entered into a proposed transaction involving the acquisition of 10% of its share capital at a valuation of £103 million, reflecting both the scale of ambition behind the venture and the confidence shown by investors and commercial partners. The investment initiative involved senior figures from private clubs, technology, entrepreneurial and investment sectors, together with support from a City of London family office and internationally recognised technology organisations.
Despite operating initially through a relatively simple web presence, The Home Club attracted attention for its vision of creating an exclusive private community centred around homeownership, property, lifestyle, wellbeing, business networking and trusted recommendations. The platform was widely recognised for its ambition to combine trusted relationships, verified expertise and meaningful engagement within a safe and secure digital environment.
From 2016 onwards, The Home Club established an extensive network of ambassadors, advocates and influencers drawn from a diverse range of sectors, including property, interiors, wellbeing, luxury lifestyle, travel, fashion, media, business and finance. Supporters included internationally recognised professionals and public figures who shared the belief that homeowners deserved access to a trusted environment built around expertise, meaningful connections and quality recommendations.
Alongside its ambassador programme, The Home Club invested heavily in technology development, platform innovation, marketing initiatives, customer acquisition strategies and member engagement activities. The business generated interest from customers, suppliers, investors, partners and industry professionals, helping establish The Home Club as a distinctive and innovative proposition within the emerging digital-community sector.
Community & Charitable Commitment
Alongside its commercial development, The Home Club actively supported charitable and community-focused initiatives aligned with its values. The Home Club was proud to support the Lord Mayor of the City of London's City Giving Day charitable initiatives, which encourage businesses, organisations and individuals to come together in support of worthwhile causes and strengthen the connection between commerce and philanthropy.
The company also supported the Whittington Hospital Charity, contributing towards fundraising initiatives associated with the refurbishment and improvement of accommodation facilities for nursing staff. These activities reflected The Home Club's belief that successful businesses should contribute positively to the communities they serve and support those working on the front line of essential public services.
From its earliest days, The Home Club's vision extended beyond technology and business. The objective was always to foster a trusted community founded upon shared values, meaningful relationships, social responsibility and long-term positive impact.
Protecting Innovation, Brand & Reputation
As The Home Club's profile, commercial relationships and market presence developed, the business became increasingly aware of third parties adopting similar concepts, branding approaches, naming conventions and market positioning within the digital community, membership, property and lifestyle sectors.
Some of these organisations possessed substantial domestic and international backing. Given The Home Club's established history, brand development, trade mark protection, technology investment and commercial activities dating back to 2015, certain similarities raised concerns regarding intellectual property rights, brand identity, goodwill, marketplace confusion, misrepresentation and the potential for passing off.
Having invested significantly in branding, technology partnerships, platform design, intellectual property protection, marketing, investor engagement and commercial development over many years, The Home Club has always taken the protection of its reputation and goodwill seriously. The company maintains extensive records documenting its development, including trade mark registrations, branding materials, website and platform development, board governance, strategic partnerships, ambassador programmes, commercial negotiations, investor engagement and business activities.
The Home Club's history demonstrates a long-established and continuous commitment to building and promoting the brand. As a result, the company reserves all rights to protect its intellectual property, goodwill and reputation against activities that may mislead consumers, create confusion in the marketplace or falsely suggest a connection, endorsement, affiliation or association with The Home Club.
Continuing the Vision
Throughout its evolution, The Home Club has remained committed to creating a trusted environment where members can access expertise, opportunities, recommendations and services through a carefully curated community. Long before concerns regarding fake accounts, misinformation and online abuse became mainstream issues, The Home Club was founded on the principle that technology should strengthen trust, authenticity and real-world value.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Darren Bolger took time to reflect on the journey while caring for his mother and authoring two books inspired by his own entrepreneurial background and belief that opportunity should be available to everyone, regardless of circumstance.
Returning to development in subsequent years, he continued advancing The Home Club's technology strategy, including the integration of artificial intelligence and next-generation community tools designed to place people, trust and authentic engagement at the centre of the digital experience.
Today, The Home Club continues to build upon foundations established in 2015. Its history reflects years of innovation, intellectual property development, strategic investment, technology advancement, charitable support, commercial partnerships, investor engagement and community-building.
The mission remains unchanged: to set the standard for trusted online communities by combining technology, expertise and human connection in a safe, secure and authentic environment.
