Darren Thomas Bolger

Innovation from within the City of London

The journey of our founder serves as a powerful testament to the impact of diversity and unwavering determination. A pivotal encounter with a murder case inspired him to establish Justice on Appeal—a charity dedicated to correcting miscarriages of justice. This defining moment also led him to author two captivating books that form the ‘Operation Westminster’ series, available on Amazon. The third and final volume is set to be released on 02/09/2026, coinciding with the seasonal grand opening of all clubs referenced here, welcoming new members as per our registration terms.

Fueled by community support, he expanded his influence by launching apprenticeship schemes for the unemployed and those hardest to reach, collaborating closely with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), Ealing Hammersmith and West London College, and Job Centre Plus in Fulham, London. He organized numerous local events, generously donating his time and resources to strengthen community bonds. His dedication was officially recognized in 2015 when he received the Mayoral Badge of Honour for Services to the Community.

Building upon these achievements, our founder developed a reputation as an innovative thinker among ancient clandestine societies, despite never being a member himself. Consulting with his accountant—a respected Knights Templar Freemason—he advocated for the creation of an exclusive online club, recognizing the significance of privacy in today’s digital landscape. This vision culminated in the establishment of a secure environment for Freemasons, affluent families, and Royalty to network, trade global commodities, and exchange luxury items such as art, cars, and jets, away from public scrutiny.

Rising to the occasion, he secured the backing of a British Royal Family member and friend, who joined him and a celebrated interior designer in the ‘Opulent Interiors’ project. Other notable collaborators included a supermodel-Bond-girl, a leading psychiatrist, prominent London networkers, and a distinguished representative from one of the City of London’s ancient Guilds.

His influence continued to grow, earning him the title The Ultimate Influencer. The maritime legacy of his family and their involvement in constructing monuments to British military leaders are integral to his narrative. His formative years, spent mastering Shipwright, Carpentry, and Joinery trades while residing in Essex and East London council estates, fostered a deep appreciation for diversity and trust.

Our founder’s integrity fostered exceptional trust within the British Establishment, culminating in the accolade ‘The Most Trusted Man in England’ awarded by Sir Desmond de Silva QC, who was married to the mentioned Royal Family member. He was invited to dine with both prospective and current Lord Mayors of the City of London, offering his support to their charitable causes and accommodations for nurses at Whittington Hospital.

He received honorary memberships to numerous private London clubs, founded to attract his influential network. Before a City of London Alderman ascended to Lord Mayor, our founder was asked to develop a cyber security and social media platform for the City of London’s 113 Livery Companies, with profits directed to both the Church of England and the British Royal Family. Elevated to the heart of the Establishment, he led the Whittington Walk alongside 24 Greater London Mayors before attending a Mansion House banquet.

In recognition of his paternal and maternal lineage, our founder devoted his time to supporting male empowerment and masculinity. Simultaneously, he visited independent and state schools for girls, inspiring them to celebrate femininity while being regarded as equals in society, in honor of his mother and daughter.

Achieving his ambitions, he founded The Home Club Ltd, securing a deal for the acquisition of 20% of the company’s shares for £103 million. Despite operating with only a basic website, the club was hailed as the most exclusive and private social media community. Investment was coordinated by a Lord in peerage, president of one of the City’s most prestigious private clubs, a leading Silicon Valley tech entrepreneur and TED speaker, and backed by a City of London Family Office and Pivotal Labs, USA.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, our founder took stock of his achievements, caring for his mother while authoring two books with the message, ‘If I can achieve this from the council estates of England, then so can you’. In 2022, he returned to construction while furthering a development of ‘The Building Game,’ during which time he advanced The Home Club’s digital platform, culminating in a groundbreaking innovation—integrating Artificial Intelligence with his mother’s expertise as a genealogist and researcher, to create technology designed to serve individuals rather than systems. Bolger Family History - Paternal

Celebrating Generations of Ingenuity, Craftsmanship, and Social Responsibility

Darren Thomas Bolger: A Legacy of Entrepreneurship, Maritime Heritage and Community Leadership

Darren Thomas Bolger is widely recognised as a leading innovator and entrepreneur whose influence touches a broad spectrum of industries, including maritime, property development, law, hospitality, and technology. His career is deeply rooted in the Bolger family's celebrated maritime heritage, famed for their pioneering craftsmanship, steadfast community leadership, and enduring commitment to philanthropy. Darren's journey embodies not only his own resourcefulness but also the lasting values instilled by the generations before him.

The Bolger Family: Maritime Excellence and Entrepreneurial Roots

The Bolger family’s legacy is interwoven with the history of British maritime achievement and entrepreneurial endeavour. Darren’s paternal grandfather, Bert Bolger, distinguished himself as a Boilermaker and Plater at London Dockyards, eventually rising to lead the Boilermakers’ union and oversee a workforce of 3,000 at Mobil Oil. Bert’s reputation was such that employment at the shipyards often hinged on his approval, and his close relationship with Lord Ted Hill, Baron of Wivenhoe, placed him at the centre of British industrial progress.

This proud tradition was carried forward by Darren’s father, Brian Bolger, and uncle, Terrence. Both began as Sea Cadets before training as Shipwrights at Harland & Wolff Dockyard, where they contributed to significant national shipping innovations. Their work included the design of data capture technology for the North Sea ‘Data-Bouy’, expertise on North Sea oil refineries, and the transformation of London’s Docklands. Their status as Master Shipwrights is a testament to the family’s ongoing dedication to progress and excellence.

Craftsmanship, Character, and Community Service

Under the guidance of their father, Darren and his brothers—Brian and Jason—embraced traditional maritime trades from an early age. Together, they restored historic vessels such as ‘La Dame de Serk’ and the ‘Lady of the Lea’ Thames Barge at St. Katherines Marina, as well as the family’s own ‘Wendy’ North Devon Sand Barge at St. Osyth Boatyard, Essex. These formative experiences honed their technical skills and instilled values of teamwork, discipline, and respect for their craft.

This rigorous apprenticeship not only refined their abilities but also shaped their character, keeping the brothers grounded in tradition and focused on purposeful work. As the industry evolved, their adaptability enabled them to excel in carpentry and joinery, upholding the Bolger reputation for excellence.

Heritage and Innovation: Maritime Skills in Modern Business

The brothers’ mastery allowed them to undertake prestigious projects across London and beyond. Their skill was vital in the restoration of the Grade II listed East India Dock House (1989) and the transformation of the Grade I listed Red Lion Hotel in Colchester (1990), where their work preserved historical integrity and revealed Roman mosaics. These projects established them as meticulous custodians of history and innovation. Following his apprenticeship, Darren joined his father at Point Wharf in Greenwich, where they built and sailed ‘The New Orleans’ (Hobbs & Sons) to the Henley Regatta, contributing to Britain’s cultural heritage. Though Darren’s career was briefly interrupted by an injury at Tilbury Docks, the family’s legacy of craftsmanship remained undiminished.

John Johnston and the Rollo Gillespie Monument – Comber Square

On his paternal side, Darren’s great-great grandfather, John Johnston, designed, architected, and built the historic Rollo Gillespie Monument in Comber Square, Armagh, Northern Ireland. Sir Robert Rollo Gillespie (1766–1814), commemorated by the monument, was born in Comber Square and baptised at St Mary's Parish Church before embarking on a distinguished military career.

  • As Captain, Gillespie’s first action was at Tiburon in the West Indies (1794).
  • In 1798, he survived a violent attack on San Domingo, reportedly killing six assailants despite severe injuries.
  • He joined the 19th Dragoons in India (1806), leading his troops to Vellore and is immortalised in Sir Henry Newbolt’s poem "Gillespie".
  • In 1811, he participated in the Java expedition, capturing Batavia and earning promotion to Major-General.
  • Gillespie led the Meerut Division in India (1813), battling the Ghurkhas in Nepal, and died heroically at Kalunga in 1814, his last words reportedly, "One shot more for the honour of Down."

His remains rest at Meerut, and he was awarded a posthumous knighthood in the 1815 New Year’s honours. In 1820, St Paul's Cathedral erected a memorial to him. Comber honoured him with the Rollo Gillespie Monument, designed and built by John Johnston. The monument’s foundation stone was laid on 24th June 1844—St John’s Day, significant to Freemasons—and unveiled a year later with over 30,000 Freemasons in attendance. Notably, a sealed bottle containing historical artefacts was embedded in the foundation, and the monument’s tablets commemorate Gillespie’s military achievements and family legacy.

Thanks to research by Darren’s mother and cooperation from the Ards and Down council, the plaque at the monument was updated on 30/10/2025, officially recognising Johnston’s contribution to its construction.

Our Founder’ Tudor Lineage and European Royal Connections

The lineage of the founder is steeped in the historical intrigues of Tudor England, offering a compelling narrative for genealogy enthusiasts and historians alike. At the heart of this story lies the claim that the founder, his mother, and siblings are direct descendants of Agnes Beaupenny Blewett, who was reputedly an intimate of King Henry VIII. This connection not only positions the founder within the sphere of English royalty but also extends his heritage to the broader tapestry of European royal families.

Agnes Beaupenny Blewett: Historical Background and Royal Allegation

Agnes Beaupenny Blewett, whose name surfaces in historical records as a figure of significance, is alleged to have been a mistress of King Henry VIII. While official documentation remains limited, contemporary accounts and family histories suggest that Agnes’s relationship with the monarch resulted in the birth of Richard Edwards. The implications of this connection have reverberated through generations, influencing the family’s claim to royal lineage.

It is claimed that due to her connection with the King, Agnes was granted the special privilege to include the Tudor Rose in her heraldry, a rare honour for a non-noble. The resulting son, Richard Edwards (c. 1525–1566), was a known poet and composer who attended Oxford. Some traditions suggest his education and upbringing were supported by a stipend from King Henry VIII.

Richard Edwards: The Purported Illegitimate Son

Richard Edwards, recognised by some genealogical sources as the illegitimate (“first”) son of King Henry VIII and Agnes Beaupenny Blewett, occupies a pivotal place in the family tree. His existence, though not formally acknowledged in royal succession, has been the subject of considerable historical debate. The Edwards line, traced through Richard, provides the foundation for the founder’s familial heritage, linking him directly to the Tudor dynasty.

Family Lineage: From Agnes to our Founder

Our founder’s family genealogy unfolds from Agnes Beaupenny Blewett, through Richard Edwards, and onwards to the present generation. Key figures in this lineage include the founder’s mother, who, alongside her children, represents the direct line of descent from Agnes. Siblings of the founder are similarly situated within this heritage, collectively embodying the legacy of Tudor blood.

Connections to European Royal Families

The Edwards lineage, by virtue of its Tudor origins, is intrinsically linked to several royal houses across Europe. Our founder’s bloodline connects him to the House of Windsor, the Habsburg dynasty, and the Bourbon family, among others. Important historical figures such as Queen Elizabeth I, King Charles I, and the Elector Palatine are related through shared ancestry. These connections underscore the founder’s place within a network of European royalty, illustrating the far-reaching influence of Tudor heritage.

Conclusion: The Founder’s Royal Heritage and Historical Relevance

In summary, the founder’s descent from Agnes Beaupenny Blewett and, by extension, King Henry VIII, situates him within the legacy of both English and European royalty. The documented lineage, naming key ancestors and royal connections, highlights the enduring significance of Tudor blood in shaping noble and royal identities across the continent. This heritage remains a subject of fascination and importance for those interested in the intricate histories of Europe’s royal families.

The Most Trusted Man in England

Protecting his family, Tudor Lineage, European Royal Connections & Members

During the development of The Home Club, our founder organised community events designed to unite families on memorable occasions and foster a strong sense of community spirit. Alongside these efforts, he advanced his apprenticeship scheme in collaboration with Job Centre Plus in Fulham, part of the Department for Work and Pensions, and partnered with Ealing Hammersmith and West London College in 2011. The initiative received additional backing from Specialist Intervention Providers (SIPS), who were dedicated to countering radicalism and safeguarding the UK against potential threats. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the community and his commitment to creating opportunities within the construction sector, our founder was awarded the Badge of Honour for Services to the Community in 2015.

He subsequently launched The Home Club and, during this period, facilitated private introductions for global trade among Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs), which included an HRH Member of the British Royal Family who had been misled by others. Our founder ensured that both his family's reputation and that of the British Royal Family remained untarnished, earning him the title 'The Most Trusted Man in England' from Sir Desmond de Lorenz de Silva, a distinguished British barrister and member of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s Privy Council. Sir Desmond was renowned for his charismatic personality and formidable presence in the legal world, representing the elite and instilling fear in those he prosecuted.

A true bon vivant, Sir Desmond was celebrated for his five-decade career in English and international courts, his impeccable style, and his prowess as a defence counsel in high-profile murder and treason cases throughout the Commonwealth. He gained the nickname “the Scarlet Pimpernel” for his chivalrous character and flair, reminiscent of Emma Orczy’s legendary hero. Notably, he became one of Britain’s first million-pound-earning barristers.

Recognised for his sharp intellect, eloquence, and rigorous cross-examination, Sir Desmond’s reputation made him the barrister of choice for sports stars, celebrities, and the affluent, even earning him the moniker “football’s greatest defender” after representing several prominent players.

Our founder’s astute involvement in a major global oil agreement was lauded by Sir Desmond, who described it as one of the greatest escapes of this century, and bestowed upon Darren the esteemed title of 'The Most Trusted Man in England'.

Local Hero

Saving the lives of Three Brothers in the River Thames

In 1999, Darren was appointed to manage a local East End pub, tasked with revamping its reputation from a notorious haunt for unsavoury characters, strippers, and general mischief, into a vibrant spot catering to residents drawn by the new Docklands development.

One afternoon, a man burst into the pub, urgently announcing that a child was trapped in the mud at the North Woolwich slipway and unable to free himself. Darren rushed to the scene and discovered three boys stuck in the mud, with the tide rapidly approaching, leaving only minutes to rescue them.

Drawing on his shipbuilding experience, Darren carefully navigated the mud, eventually spreading his bodyweight to push himself forward, much like a mud-skipper, until he reached one of the children and brought him to safety. He then returned for the other two, who were later brought to the pub and comforted with crisps and soft drinks beside the fire.

Whitewatch Commander Dave Burrell praised Darren's efforts, noting that the emergency services had initially been sent to the wrong address. Had the children remained trapped until the fire brigade arrived, they would almost certainly have drowned. See the Newham Recorder news clipping below for further details.
